University has floating license for matlab and many toolboxes, but you need network access to license server if you want to use it. Department has bought 6 standalone licenses for matlab and image processing toolbox for personels who need to take matlab with them.

Linux users can copy different matlab versions from \\www2.it.lut.fi\software folder, those are configured to use university license server. If you need standalone versions, please contact ilmari.laakkonen@lut.fi for installation media and license key.

You can do copying like this:

laakkone@azha:~$ rsync -a <login>@cursa.pc.lut.fi:/net/www2/software/<matlabrelease> /usr/local

Examples:

root@azha:~# rsync -a laakkone@cursa.pc.lut.fi:/net/www2/software/matlabR2011a_32bit /usr/local/
laakkone@laskenta1.it.lut.fi's password:
root@azha:~# ln -s /usr/local/matlabR2011a_32bit/bin/matlab /usr/local/bin/matlab

Following matlab versions are available:

• matlabR2011a_32bit
• matlabR2011a_64bit (this works only with 64-bit linux installations)

Following versions has been moved under matlab_old folder:

• matlabR2009a
• matlabR2008a

Following versions has been removed from server (not available anymore):

• matlabR2007b
• matlabR2006b
• matlabR14SP1

Computer center will install windows network license versions and ilmari helps to install standalone versions.
