Environmental Monitoring Using Image Analysis
The goal of this project is to promote research in the area of environmental monitoring using modern information processing methods. At international level our goal is to merge the Finnish and Russian expertise.
We will review the current activities in the research field in the area of Europe's northern dimension, finding out information on the possibilities and needs that we could focus on. Later, an actual monitoring process will be developed in cooperation with UPM-Kymmene Kaukas paper mill.
23.02.2006 Research report, Remote Sensing in the Northern Dimension: Overview and Applications is available on paper and pdf-format. See documentation at the end of this page for links.
19.10.2005 Project internal area has been added.
25.06.2005 Project webpages have been opened.
