| Goals: |
The goal is to introduce students to the field of machine vision and image analysis and its application areas. |
| Content: |
Digital image processing: digital image, image transforms, image enhancement, image compression. Image analysis: segmentation, representation and description, recognition and interpretation. Hardware, software and applications. |

The course is suitable to Ph.D. students and senior undergraduate students (= kelpaa sekä syventäväksi perusopinnoksi että jatko-opintojaksoksi).
